TO: The Publishers, University Staff, Firms, and Proprietors
In cooperation with STREAMS's Sharing the Light project The Crusader and Pagasa, official student publications of Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan and Xavier University High School respectively, both agreed to provide acknowledgements to firms, proprietors and private individuals willing to sponsor the said charity drive. Acknowledgments will come in the form of a feature article about Sharing the Light in both publications' magazines this December. Donations must be given before Nov. 27. Sharing the Light aims to improve the library facilities of public schools by providing books and other resources. This year's target-recipient is Lumbia National High School.
Incidentally, books gathered from The Crusader's own project, Adopt a School Book Drive, will be granted to Sharing the Light for the same target-recipient. The student organization or academic department with the most book donations will be featured in a one-page article in The Crusader's 75th Anniversary Issue this upcoming December. All books, new and used, must be appropriate for high-school and grade-school students. It may range from storybooks to dictionaries. Deadline for submission will be on Nov. 27, 4 PM. You may drop them at The Crusader Publication office at STC 302, or at the SacDev Volunteer Center at STC 206. Non-contest winners will be acknowledged in the feature article about Sharing the Light mentioned earlier.
